Run-in before installation
Our spindle test and analysis stand pre-conditions spindles before they’re installed in a machine. The spindle is run for several hours at a series of increasing speeds. Motor controls let the operator choose specific speeds and “soak” the spindle at each one for a set period of time.
Accurate vibration readings
To hold the tight tolerances manufacturers demand today, spindle vibration has to be reduced to an absolute minimum. On the shop floor, vibration from resonance or nearby machines can travel into the spindle and give misleading readings. The test stand isolates the spindle from those outside sources, so the measurements reflect the spindle itself and the true source of any vibration is easier to find and eliminate.
